Come and join us for some company. We're all training for the Men's Health Forum 10k in June and some of us are doing the Polaroid Series too. We run out of the Allander Sports Centre on a Sunday night at 5.00pm.
There are about 10 of us all of different standards.

Alternatively log onto Jogscotland and find a running group in your area to go with.

Happy running, you can beat that hour............

Regards

Kev, thanks for the comment. Let me know if you want a decent 10k training schedule and the time you're aiming for. I'll be back on track soon, no bother. I've entered the Loch Ness Marathon again in October and there are lots of races of different distances between now and then, starting with the Great Winter Run 5k in Edinburgh a week on Saturday.

Hi David, thanks. I will check out Strathcarron and add it to my list of possible events for next year.

Good luck with the quest, I am sure next year will be the one. I also did Stirling, refreshingly flat course, a little under the hour. Try Strathcarron (Denny), 2 weeks after Stirling next year - though it does have a 2K hill.

Hi Kev, just stumbling around, reading random blogs and came to yours. Great to see your ambition. Come and read my posting of 15/8/06, Zimbabwe Part 1. In it I explain how I came from total non-runner to run Comrades marathon in South Africa, 56 miles. Now I'm sure you don't aim to do such a thing, but you may find a bit of inspiration there, I hope so. My best 10 K was 30:30. But that's just bragging. I now live in Kuwait and although I run, the weather is not conducive to competition. Good luck!
